Booking Confirmation

  • All reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of valid credit card details or advance payment.
  • The person making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and is deemed responsible for all guests in the booking party.
  • Rates are quoted in NZD, inclusive of GST (if any), and are subject to change without notice until confirmed.

Cancellations & Non-Arrival

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the 2:00 PM check-in time on the day of arrival.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of check-in or non-arrival will incur the full booking amount.
  • Early departures are considered cancellations for unused nights and are non-refundable.
  • All cancellations must be received in writing via email to info@amitymotel.co.nz.

Our Right to Cancel

In rare circumstances (e.g., safety, maintenance, force majeure), we may need to cancel or modify your booking. In such cases, our liability is limited to a full refund of any amount paid.

Refunds

Refunds are issued in accordance with this policy and New Zealand consumer law.

  • Full refunds are available for bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before the 2:00 PM check-in time on the day of arrival.
  • No refunds apply for cancellations within 24 hours, non-arrival, or early departure once checked in.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method in New Zealand dollars (NZD) within 5–10 business days of approval.
  • Refunds may also be provided if a booking error or double payment occurs, or if Amity Motel must cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, our liability is limited to the amount already paid.
  • Guests who booked through a third-party platform (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia) must request refunds directly through that provider, as their terms may differ.
